Drove to Vista Point, a narrow dirt road. Loose dirt when dry. No 4×4 is required but helpful. Good views.

Scraped hard gravel dirt road sometimes with very deep ruts. Not for the faint-of-heart or inexperienced bike riders. Stupendous views of clearlake and Ukiah valley.

I love it up here, I’m a frequent on the ovt, great place and most the people you meet up there are super friendly. I also love the campgrounds (but there are no showers so just fyi) the shooting range up there is also good. there is also a lot of trails for dirt bikes and off road vehicles……. ; )

Really just hot brushland, but tropical-like in March rain with Greenery and red dirt. My pics are under south Cow Mountain. Didn’t realize Mendo Rock Rd . is in the northern section when I posted them.

Hike, horseback and shooting. Range is always trashed even with good people cleaning it often. No rangemaster.. so people can be foolish and unsafe at times. I rather go find a remote spot up here to do my thing.
