It all began in 2014 with one man and a dream.
Kapila Phoenix moved to Willits in 2007, from the Bay Area, where he was born and raised.
He found the community to be warm and welcoming.
He searched for a way to give back to the community that had embraced him.
Diverse restaurant choices in town were lacking.
Kapila decided to open the only Sicilian/Italian Restaurant in town.
The goal was, and continues to be, consistently providing quality food to both locals and travelers.
Also, giving young people opportunities to learn kitchen skills while gaining work experience.
La Siciliana Restaurant opened on October 31, 2014 .
