My son and I had such a blast fishing with Mark! It felt more like fishing with a good buddy and less like getting taken out with a guide.
There are so many big fish in Clear Lake…..but dang they are smart, have seen everything and are way harder to catch than I thought…but Mark knew how to catch them.
From other people we talked to, the fishing was tough for Clear Lake standards, but Mark had us on fish both days. My son and I each caught our PB’s with my new PB an 8.5 pounder.

Where do I start? What an INCREDIBLE experience. Mark was at our meeting point early and ready to go when we arrived! We hopped in his beautiful boat and headed out to our first honey hole! Mark said he has a rule that if the fish aren’t biting in 10-15 minutes, we move on because they are biting somewhere and we’re going to find it!
Took us a few places to find that sweet spot, but boy did we! We even caught “doubles”- fish at the same time! Mark knows this lake better than the fish! He’s just that good! Y’all this is the kind of fella you want to spend your day with. He is funny, patient, and knowledgeable. He had everything we needed and then some! He even let us drive his boat.
We also enjoyed just riding in the boat as he showed us several special areas in the lake including the hot springs and hot tub. Give this guy a call and book a trip! You will not be disappointed! Thank you Mark for such a special and memorable day!

Mark is an incredible fisherman with a deep knowledge of the patterns of the fish in Clear Lake. He’s also a very friendly and personable guy. We had a great time fishing with him.

5 out of 5 stars! Mark made my son (7 years old) and I’s trip to Clear Lake truly unforgettable. This was my son’s first bass fishing trip and Mark really went the extra mile to make it special for him. From constantly encouraging him, to teaching how to set the hook, to letting my son reel in any fish he hooked, to driving the boat from spot to spot, Mark was patient, kind and a great fishing teacher. On top of all of that, Mark put us on some amazing fish! There was a tournament on the lake that day, but Mark really showed his local knowledge of the lake and knew just where to find fish out of the overcrowded main holes. I will 100% use Mark again on our next trip!
