Due to a change in plans my reservation (which had been charged to my credit card) was cancelled. After several attempts to deal with the booking agency (booking.com), I was unable to get a refund. The BBB took on my case but the business never responded.

It’s a budget motel, it’s not fancy but the rooms are clean and it’s close to stuff. The views and location are superb, sunrise and sunset on the lake were beautiful. For the price, I would definitely stay again.

we stayed at lamplighter inn for one night. when we arrived there was no one at the desk, but eventually someone came. there were some sketchy people around so we decided to go to our room with our luggage before exploring. the room was ok. We had 2 big beds but one of the beds blocked off a part of the room so we had to climb over the bed to get to the microwave. the room was not that clean. the beds were kind of sandy inside and the bed covers were ripped! the bathroom was clean enough. the location was good. nice views of the lake at sunset. it’s near trejos diner for breakfast and there are a couple other places around. Typical American motel if you are looking for an experience.

This is the worse hotel/motel I have stayed at. Normally I do not write a review but for this place I feel like I need to for future travels.
When I arrived they put me in a room that was not a regular room. Very small, wires hanging out of the walls, there was no lock on the door so I had two guys try to come in and they even had a key. I went back to the office and an hour later I was moved to a different room. This one was much better then the first one. However I had stained towels. The neighbors are very loud and play their music loud this was around midnight. A fight broke out and the cops were called. You are by the lake but really can not enjoy it due to all the trash. Not a safe place or quite place to stay.
I would not recommend this place
