This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had.

After CHP informed me that my vehicle had been taken to Young’s Automotive & Towing, I immediately began trying to retrieve it. I called Young’s approximately six times and even drove to the business in person. The business was closed, no one answered the phone, and I was unable to obtain any information whatsoever.

I later discovered that my vehicle was not even at Young’s—it was actually at Jones Towing. As a result, more than 72 hours passed before I was finally able to locate it. During that time, I received no phone call or communication advising me where my vehicle actually was, despite my contact information being available through the impound process.

Those delays directly resulted in hundreds of dollars of additional storage charges that could easily have been avoided with accurate information or basic communication.

Whether the original mistake was made by CHP or elsewhere, my experience with Young’s was that there was simply no way to obtain assistance when I urgently needed it. If your vehicle has been impounded, do not assume it is actually where you are told it is, and document every call and every visit.

I sincerely hope they improve their communication so no one else has to go through what I experienced.
