The tides is a icon in Bodega bay. It has been there forever. I had to give it four stars because many people have been complaining that they ‘re not keeping up with the times. They seem too set in their ways. They’re taking their customers for granted and not putting any extra effort into service or preparation. I can personally state that the last waiter I had was rude to me. So I asked to speak to the manager. He was worse than the waiter, so I can’t give the Tides five stars. The food was so so. They’ve been serving the same old thing for the last decade. The views to die for so that’s really what keeps people coming back. It’s not the service, and it’s not the food, it’s the view.

Absolutely delicious Valentines Dinner. It wasn’t busy enough for how inattentive our waitress was. Also by 7pm they had run out of one of the specials Surf n turf. Would have gotten a higher score if not for these.

I will check out the Tides Wharf Fish Market every time I am in Bodega Bay. They have fresh fish, seafood, wine, and much more. The clam chowder is delicious. The best thing I like is that they are together with a gift shop and restaurants and have a huge parking lot. The parking lot can easily handle large vehicles. The workers here are always nice and helpful. I have always had a good shopping experience at this market.
