Sadly, things are slipping at the Greenview, Last fall I ordered a “12oz” NY steak medium rare. It wasn’t 12oz. It came well done. Sent it back. 2nd one arrived well done…
Fast forward to yesterday. My sister and I dropped in for a quick lunch. We had to chase someone down to be seated. We ordered lunch. It was not busy, maybe 5 tables inside & 2 or 3 outside. Lunch took over 30 minutes to get to the table.for a salad and a wrap. It would have been nice to have been told that the kitchen was running slow. The server never came back to check on us which was a problem because sister’s wrap was missing 2 ingredients. We had to flag people down to address the situation when we finally saw them about 15 minutes later. In her defense the server offered all the correct options. We were out of time and had to leave. We hope that management can get thier act together and regain the high level of food & service that made the Greenview a beacon in the darkness that is the Lake County restaurant business.
We hosted an employee event at Greenview, with around 100 people in attendance, in June 2026. The event staff were extremely accommodating and provided a wonderful space for our event. They worked seamlessly with our staff and vendors and were supportive for last moment changes.
The banquet meal was flavorful and with them serving the protein, the buffet line moved quickly. We appreciate Greenview for allowing us to host our events there.
We have enjoyed going to the Greenview Restaurant and their entire team is not only friendly, knowledgeable, professional and are the difference makers in our dining experiences. From arrival to departure they work as a team that NEVER disappoints! We hope GV will focus efforts to improve the menu quality and consistency with more creative seasonal menu items such that the culinary experience will better match the service and ambiance. Many of their menu items remain great but a few more unique items would certainly raise GV’s overall appeal.
Food seems to be consistent and good. Their fries are dipped in magic and help improve my golf swing. My only complaint is that service is pretty slow. If you plan on eating lunch before your tee time, you may want to show up to 30 minutes earlier than you originally planned to. We have eaten there several times and this seems to be a consistent trend. ❤️
I thoroughly enjoyed dinner with a friend at this restaurant. The large open space room and wall length window to view the golf course, along with the fireplace made for great atmosphere. We had the tuna and avocado appetizer and lemon chicken entree, which were both delicious. Our server, Ben did a wonderful job with the presentation of the food and went out of his way to please.
It was a lovely evening at the Greenview bar and Grill and I’ll definitely be going back.
