I live here in Lake County and spend a lot of time here… I love kayaking and hiking this park.. but last week after a great hike, I came back to my vehicle to find that in broad daylight 1:00 in the afternoon, someone had chopped a catalytic converter off of my car. I called the sheriff’s department and reported it or at least tried to report it. I’m still waiting for an officer to call me back 5 days later. This is a great place in great, great recreational areas, but not safe to leave vehicles between them getting broken into and now stealing parts off vehicles. Be careful. Stay safe, and God bless

Nice place for a walk. If you go up the hill there are some meadows with pretty flowers. One of the locals tells me the fishing is good here. Catfish I think he said.

Great spot to hang out and play guitar with the dog. ‘Ceramic’? concrete picnic tables with breathtaking view of the most wildlife in existance.
