The Rivara was such a wonderful experience! My family and I absolutely loved our meals, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The owner was so intentional and genuinely friendly with every guest, which made the experience feel even more special. To top it all off, the patio and rooftop were absolutely amazing and created the perfect atmosphere. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

The upscale lakeside atmosphere creates an elevated experience, and the menu was thoughtfully curated. I appreciate that they use rice flour, so most of what’s on the menu is naturally gluten free, and still tastes amazing.
The beef skewers are a great appetizer; perfectly cooked and packed with flavor.
They have different flavors to choose for the seafood boil; I went with the Cajun, and it did not disappoint. They also serve it with gloves and wet naps so you can dig in without worrying about the mess.
Try at least a couple different cocktails from their menu. The ones I had were delicious and just as beautiful as they were tasty.
If you don’t drink alcohol, they also made some fantastic mocktails upon request using house-made syrups and bitters.
If you’re looking for great food, beautiful views, and occasional live music, I highly recommend checking this place out.

Rivara opened tonight and they’ve brought a new dining experience to Clear Lake. We are visiting from Des Moines and would put Rivara’s food against the likes of Harbinger.
The owners, chef, and team have nailed it. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to delicious food, cocktails and wine at Rivara.
I rarely post reviews because I’m lazy. This place is special!
