Dang… this might be one of the best places to pop up in Lake County.
I’m originally from a foodie mecca, I often travel to an even larger foodie mecca, and when I travel for work my go to splurge is amazing food. So I don’t say this lightly. This was phenomenal!
Lake County is quaint and slow moving and relaxing and has good offerings. But that’s just it… good offerings. Not great, not exceptional, just good. All the restaurants are rinse and repeat Sisco spots. Breakfast cafe’s. Mexican food Mexican food Mexican food. Nothing is special. If it is, it’s not a clean meal it’s just egregious serving sizes and flavors. Not to knock it… I still indulge. I still enjoy it! But this I loved.
This hits that perfect mark. Super fresh, well plated, well designed, clean tasting and freshly made meal. While finally being different than Mexican food. I haven’t had good Hawaiian style bbq and mac salad since I lived in LA two decades ago. This made me very happy.
All the staff were nice, had great energy, seem to enjoy working together. The place is beautiful, great vibes, love the tables. YOU WILL WAIT for your meal. But that’s because it is coming out fresh and hot. Every order.
10/10 I hope they do really well and stick around.

I love this place as I stop here while on a bike ride. I really like that they have mini portions as it’s the perfect size while riding. When I’m not riding, I get one of the combos. All the items are freshly cooked to order & the staff is very friendly. Also the sides are great too. I’m usually not a fan of macaroni salad but theirs is quite tasty!

Amazing authentic island food served by two amazing women. Beautifully put together restaurant. The perfect family stop to add some flavor to your trip through the mountains

Had the Jerk Salmon and it was amazing! Perfect crispy crust, great flavor of the fish as well. The Mango Salsa was a delicious addition that complimented the Salmon perfectly. The Wasabi Cole Slaw was an excellent addition to the overall flavor profile, as well as Ponzu sauce under the rice. Very welcoming environment and Lovely staff. Great looking menu, Kahlua Pork was the special when I was there. Cannot wait to go back.

It was amazing food. Reminded me of the islands with great flavor. What a treat. Service was friendly with lots of aloha spirit.
