Had another terrific bike tour with Getaway Adventures/Wine Country Bikes. This is the 4th time over the past 15 years we’ve used them for a great day in Sonoma County wine country. Gwen was our guide and she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and personable. This was our first time to use e-bikes, and it was a game changer for some of the hills and rollers. Lots of variety to pedal as you want to or take advantage of the electric motor assist – especially now that are into our 60’s.
If you want to spend a leisurely day soaking in the amazing sights at bike pace, and getting extra special service at some local wineries, I highly recommend Getaway Adventures / Wine Country Bikes.

We had such a great experience renting e-bikes from Getaway Adventures. The entire process was incredibly easy from start to finish. Booking was straightforward, and when we arrived, pickup was smooth and efficient with no hassle at all.
The e-bikes made a huge difference in our day—we were able to ride much farther than we normally would have on regular bikes, which let us explore more and really enjoy the area without getting exhausted. It turned what could have been a shorter outing into a full, relaxed adventure.
One thing we especially appreciated was being able to store our luggage securely while we rode. That extra convenience made everything feel seamless and stress-free.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would absolutely rent from them again. Highly recommend if you want an easy, fun way to explore!

We had a wonderful time with Eric as our tour guide. I haven’t ridden a bike in years and have never been on an e-bike but with a quick tutorial we were off for a fun day. He was mindful of our ability and comfort level on the bikes. He also shared lots of interesting information along the way about the industry, wildlife, and the environment. What a fantastic way to see area wineries and spend part of our girls weekend.

My sister and I have been discussing doing a wine country tour on bikes for a few years, and our schedules finally aligned. A dear friend joined us after we had to reschedule rather urgently last year due to a family emergency. We finally did our tour the beginning of October this year and could not have been happier! Preston took care of everything and we had a fantastic experience. We rented Specialized e-bikes which made the mileage easier and allowed us to relax more between vineyards. Our guide was Gwen, and she was wonderful. We loved the vineyards and the tastings. Preston made us feel so well cared. Our trip far exceeded our expectations.
I am already looking forward to the next tour with Getaway Adventures!
