Shout out to @UnchartedFoodie YouTuber! Believe it or not we saw his video on this place & decided to plan our trip from Socal to Bodega Bay just so we could experience the seafood! This restaurant didn’t disappoint. We ordered the lobster roll, cod & prawns basket along with their craft beer sampler. Most lobster rolls come on a small hot dog type roll with a slit on the top with a small portion of lobster on top. Not here, their roll is a larger brioche roll filled with lobster. The prawns & cod were the best we have ever had & were straight out of the bay. Toward the end of our dinner a kind employee came by & asked how our dinner was & we explained that we had driven 9 hours to experience the seafood & of course it was delicious. He then told us he was the Assistant Mgr (Zion) & thanked us by giving us a complementary pint on the house. It was so good we went back the next day & ordered the rock cod sandwich which was equally delicious! What a great little gem nestled in the beautiful Bodega bay!

Fishetarian has the potential to be a great spot for fresh, local seafood. The location is absolutely beautiful and, honestly, it’s the best part of the entire experience.
Ordering, however, was disappointing. There isn’t any table service—you simply order your food and pick it up yourself. Since there’s no actual service, I chose not to leave a tip. Ironically, it seemed like that resulted in a much longer wait for our food, which was frustrating and honestly a bit amusing.
We ordered enough food to feed a family, even though there were only two of us, so we had the chance to try several menu items.
Unfortunately, the meal was underwhelming:
1. The fish and chips were bland and desperately needed more seasoning and sauce. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering them, not even the sauce helped.
2. All the hot sauces on the table weren’t hot at all.
3. The clam chowder was, without a doubt, the worst I’ve had. Even the bread served with it was disappointing.
4. While the lobster roll tasted great, the price didn’t match the portion size.
Overall, I’m honestly at a loss for words. Given my experience, I don’t understand how this place has earned so many 5-star reviews. The amazing location and a couple of good menu items weren’t enough to make up for the disappointing food and service.

Absolutely lovely seafood restaurant
Large parking area ,but as this place is so popular, parking can be tricky. Nice merch. Lovely desrts,drinks, and deli items for purchase. Many different seating areas. Some spaces are enclosed,so it is wind free. Seating on the waterfront is absolutely beautiful, but can be windy. Kiosks at the entrance where you can place your order. Food was delivered very quickly. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious,hot and fresh. Best fish and fries I have had in a long time. Friendly and efficient service. Tables were clean. Great atmosphere.

Fishetarian is a great spot for fresh local seafood. Ordering is super easy, and the food comes out fast. Local beers on tap and a big selection of non alcoholic too. Nice seating area on the water as well, different places you can set up to eat. The fish and chips was good, 3 piece order is a lot of food. Fish tacos were pretty good too. This place is pricey to be honest, but great location and definitely worth the stop.
