We spent one night at one of the cabins to get away from city lights to see the Perseid meteor shower. The cabin was clean and roomy. It even had AC, which we didn’t need to use. But what surprised me the most was the amount of wildlife we saw in less than 24 hours. We saw deer families on two occasions, a gray fox, osprey, great blue herons, black crowned herons, Asian bullfrogs (invasive) and their tadpoles, grebes, quail, scrub jays, ducks, squirrels (of course), etc. (We did not see any otters of beavers- maybe next time.) The campsites looked clean and serene. The beach area likewise. And all the people who worked there were friendly (entrance booth, site host, rangers). Overall, one of the best “camping” experiences ever in my 65 years.

We went late April. Stayed in cabin 1. Would recommend that or cabin 8 as the are a bit set of from the others. Very nice. A/C, heat, and electricity. What?!?! So much wildlife. Not too noisy with other campers but it may just be because of when we went.

We had such a wonderful stay at the cabins at Clear Lake -a perfect relaxing getaway in nature!

The cabins are cozy and very comfortable, ideal for a group of four. We loved the sturdy wooden bunk beds, the charming table made with natural branches, and the extra table space that made everything convenient. The lakefront view is absolutely beautiful -peaceful mornings and gorgeous sunsets right outside your door. The cabin also has electricity and air conditioning, which makes the stay even more comfortable.

The grounds are great for enjoying the outdoors: plenty of fishing space, a public beach, and lovely walking trails to explore.

Public restrooms are always very clean, which we really appreciated -just note they don’t provide soap or paper towels, so come prepared.

Overall, a fantastic spot to unplug, enjoy nature, and spend quality time by the lake. We would definitely come back!
