Worst manager ever you guys need to fire Barbara. My wife and me had No tv for 3 days and 3 nights no hot tub just warm water. Told the manger she said she would switch our room. While we are waiting we already had planned for our mother’s to come and hangout with us by the lake for the day we would cook something up. Its 35 dollars a person to get in the lounge for Day use on the weekends didnt mind paying that. Until we we’re Told by the manger Barbara that she wouldn’t be able to get us a new room cause they all got booked right away. My wife suggested we’ll thats kinda of stressful not having a tv that we paid for in our room, but said to the manager how bout if she could let our moms in with no charge or just charge for one of them, they our both in their 70s wasn’t gonna go swimming or anything and that would compensate for not having a television. Nope nope nope everybody has to pay no matter what raising her voice like shes yelling at us. So I asked if theres anything she would be able to do for us, she said yes she would talk to her before we check out. Check out time came i asked shrugged her shoulders sorry I can’t help you in a loud offensive manner I cant make everyone happy she said. She didnt even try to make anyone happy and yells at everyone, smokes cigarettes all through and around the property with kids, around with no smoking signs posted everywhere around the property, But complain that we smelled like marjuania and talked down on us for her having to smell it off us. Worst place to stay by far love blue lakes but never will go the the lodge again unless im protesting to get new management and the owner dosen’t seem to care, cause there’s nothing but negative reviews on here bout the manger Barbara and shes still there!?! Over all dont go to blue lakes lodge , its over priced boats break down they charge you for the full payment anyway dont matter, takes forever to get kayaks and life jackets for people, so it burns into their time there waiting to get a kayak or life jacket. There is no swimming pool or hot tube like advertised. This place has went to shit, used to be awesome now with the new manager it just sucks.

    Concern Regarding Our Recent Experience

We have been staying at this lodge for many years, and for a long time it was a place we truly enjoyed. We always felt welcomed, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and well cared for.
Unfortunately, over time, we have noticed a significant change in both the level of service and the way guests are treated.
    Tonight’s experience was particularly upsetting.
I was included on a reservation with friends and had planned to stay at the lodge with them. My plans changed, and I needed to return home, so I stopped by the room for only a few minutes to let my friends know.
While I was sitting outside the room, management came to the door and informed me that I would need to pay an additional $60 simply for being there—even though I was already included on the reservation and was only there briefly before leaving.
I found this extremely disappointing and difficult to understand. I wasn’t an unregistered visitor attempting to stay overnight. I was a guest listed on the reservation whose plans had changed and who stopped by briefly before heading home.
What bothers me most isn’t simply the $60 charge. It’s the way the situation was handled and the feeling that, after years of staying at the lodge and supporting your business, the warmth and hospitality we once experienced seem to be gone.
We have many wonderful memories of staying here, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I sincerely hope management will reconsider how situations like this are handled and remember that hospitality and the way longtime guests are treated matter just as much as policies and fees.

Lake was beautiful, water was refreshing. Property needs a lot of maintenance. Lacking in adequate shade for guests each room has a chair outside its door to sit in the shade right next to the air conditioner blowing out hot furnace air. Office manager extremely entitled and aggressive. Threatened my 12-year-old grandson to hit him with her bat if he dare to slam the security gate. 3 out of 4 lounge chairs available on the property (23 rooms) were unusable. Rental boats all in need of repair and maintenance. dock lines were all rotting.. when you touch them they would break. Fishing was great! Website is mistaken there is no longer a restaurant or any food available.
Additionally ice machine is broken and they know about it. And there is no swimming pool on the premises even though it shows a pristine pool on their website… straight up advertising misrepresentation also known as lies.

We were planning on spending the day here with a group of 17 people, so this resort lost a significant amount of business because of the way we were treated.

Before we could even look around to decide if the resort was a good fit, we were told we had to pay the full $35 day-pass fee just to enter. We sent one person in to check it out, but the experience at the front desk completely changed our minds.

The woman working at the front desk was extremely rude, unfriendly, and dismissive. Customer service makes a huge difference, especially when you’re welcoming potential guests. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like we were an inconvenience.

Because of the poor attitude and lack of hospitality, our entire group decided to leave. We ended up spending the day at Lake Mendocino instead, where we had a wonderful time.

I understand businesses have policies, but there’s no excuse for treating potential customers with disrespect. We were prepared to spend hundreds of dollars here, but first impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was very disappointing.
